unemployment food #3: ramen with extras

there are times when you revert to your younger self. for me, i've been eating some saimin made hawaii-style, which basically is ramen, mixed with an egg, and whatever else you want. it's better than plain ramen you most likely ate if you went to university.

ramen with extras

ingredients
one packet of ramen
one egg
scallions (per your taste)
tofu (couple small cubes if you have some leftover from a dinner you cooked)

cook the ramen per the instructions. when it's almost done, crack an egg into the pot and scramble it into the ramen. you'll notice that the ramen will get a bit frothy. that's ok, just make sure the egg cooks. add tofu if you want. serve in a bowl and top with scallions.

you can also add different types of greens and veggies if you like. spinach works well too! you'll probably find that you have to add more water when adding more vegetables if you like your saimin soupy.
